Star Wars: The Morning After

The Scene

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…

The Annaj system is under an Imperial blockade.

In the past week, an Imperial fleet of Star Destroyers has occupied the system. They have interdicted any ships arriving, departing, or passing through, and subjecting them to intense scrutiny before permitting passage. The blockade is facilitated by Interdictor-class Star Destroyers, which prevent unauthorized ships entering hyperspace. Transports attempting to get out of range of the artificial gravity wells they project have been destroyed by TIE-fighters and turbolasers.

A fair number of Star Destroyers have also berthed at the orbital spacedock facilities and are rumored to be undergoing extensive repairs. Other Star Destroyers, such as the Chimaera conduct the final screening of any transports attempting to leave the system. These transports are forced to land in the Star Destroyers’ hangar bays, where stormtroopers inspect all corners of the vessels while their officers interrogate their crews and passengers.
